Graz Sehen und Erleben

Less known outside the country, Graz, the second largest city in Austria, features a ‘southern’ charm: in the summer time the streets of the historic centre are filled with (young) people sitting outside in one of the many award-winning restaurants and student bars.

Graz is a fast-growing, green, young and vibrant city: students make around 1/5 of the city population. The university city of Graz has also a contemporary cultural edge. Crowned in 2003 as European Cultural Capital of Europe, Graz features extravagant steel constructions floating on its river or resting on its banks that provide a space for people to meet and for art to be seen or performed.
